#1: Shut Down Power. Pull Out Drain Pipes

#7: Mount the Disposal System

– Insert the disposal to the top end of the mounting gasket. You’ll know you installed it properly if it feels snug. If it does not feel tight enough, try to check other parts again to make sure everything goes right and then adjusts again.

#8: Install the Drain

– Connect P-trap to the tails and trap arm.

– Place the disposal’s discharge tube in the P-trap and do not fully tighten the slip nut.

– Insert other ends of the discharge tube into the disposal unit.

– Use a screwdriver to secure the metal flange using the bolt supplied with your disposal unit.

#9: Tighten Lug

– Place a screwdriver in the mounting lug

– Roll the unit clockwise until the disposer is locked into place.

– Tighten all slip nuts.

#10: Test Disposer

– Turn the power back on. In the previous, power must always be shut down.

– Pull water into the sink.

– Switch on the disposer and check for leaks.

– Tighten any parts if necessary.
